“You live longer once you realize that any time spent being unhappy is wasted” -Ruth E. Renkl
I just finished a 45 minute yoga session here at home. It’s Saturday night and I am completely exhausted and the only thing I’ve wanted to do since I got off work was relax and do yoga. I have had a fun last few days and I’m happy I did so much with friends. On Wednesday I did a bodyworks class then I walked the dog with Ash and we went out to Greenlake and went out with her new roommates which was a lot of fun. On Thursday, I went and spent the day at the Kirkland waterfront with Kayla and Katrina getting dinner and running around and it was a blast. Yesterday, my friend Nikki had a little wedding-planning girls night at her house.
What did all my weeks plans fail to accommodate?…..fitness.
I completely slacked off in fitting in time for the gym these last couple days and can feel the difference.
Maybe this is a good thing….to let my body rest. But my mind is telling me I’m slacking, and being lazy. I’m still in that rut I was talking about earlier and have been trying to do more yoga and meditation.
One thing I need to mention is a product that my roommates introduced me to. Its called Ultima Replenish and it’s an electrolyte drink with no carbs, no sugar, and has zinc, magnesium, and a lot of other really great things for your body. I have honestly felt a difference since I started taking it. I rarely get excited about products but I’m telling you its something you should buy. I bought lemon but its really good to buy the lemon and grape flavor and mix it. Delicious and healthy.
I’m getting so excited for Florida in September! Dianna and I made a trip bucket list that will include skydiving, paddleboarding, kayaking, horseback riding, hot yoga, and a lot more! I can’t wait.
I just have to remember to be grateful.
I need to know that even if I don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, in time there will be. I am so grateful for my amazing family, friends, healthy body, and ability to work and workout. Never waste time of people or things that make you unhappy. Always stay balanced, always plan for vacations and make time for the people who stick by your side, no matter what journey your path takes you.

I want to start yoga – but don’t really want to go to classes – where do you think the bext place to start is?

I started at my gym because its included in my gym membership and fell in love. If you don’t want tto do it in a group setting I’m sure there are videos online but I recommended Rodney Yes for DVD’s. He’s my favorite and at Barnes & Noble, they always have a little DVD fitness section and you can find him there, he’s really good. And once you like it, you can try classes!
