Zumba Photoshoot

What a BUSY week! I have been in the gym like a maniac lately and focusing a lot more on what I’ve been eating. I have been focusing on clean eating and at first it was tough, but now I am slowly losing the cravings for processed foods and it is wonderful. As I’ve mentioned before in old entries about how I was Pro Paleo and that it works for my dad, I realized it doesn’t work for me and clean eating works best because I cannot deprive my body of the whole wheat and grains. I don’t really eat an overload of carbs or anything, but it helps with all the working out that I do.

“You only crave what you consume. Once you cut out all the bad processed food, it may be hard at first but over time, those cravings will diminish and you will appreciate normal clean eating”

What was really exciting about yesterday is that I did a Zumba photo shoot! It was such a fun time and the photographer; April Zeer was AMAZING and so much fun to work with. I had a lot of different clothing options and I can’t wait to show you the magazine or the pictures that turn out once she’s done editing them! I have a couple pictures but they are only from my little iPhone. I believe I have another shoot with a different person on Friday so I must continue working hard on my diet and sessions at the gym in the next couple days. The article/photos print on August 20th so time is ticking!

My life has been such a turnaround this year. It started with a relationship that turned out to be a whole lie and waste of time. It’s crazy how you figure out all the pieces in the end and once you do, you can be good and done with it. Once I got to the bottom of how pointless and filled with lies this person was, I finally could allow myself to move on and practically forget about it completely. I have been so blessed to have this person removed from my life because he brought me nothing but down. Since everything has been over in the last two, almost three months now, opportunity has practically fallen in my lap; I have embraced what makes me happy, and truly have no worries anymore. It’s nice to really focus on what I want and not have to worry about being let down by others. I can’t wait to see how the rest of this year folds out!

hahaha this video is funny because it was after the shoot when we turned the zumba music off and just had random music on and i realized i couldn’t dance to it.

  1. Eating clean is something I’m practicing recently. I’ve started by cutting sugar out. My 8 year old niece is my inspiration because she is not allowed to eat any sugar and whenever we walk into a candy or cupcake store, she doesn’t crave ANYTHING! while all of us are mouth-watering our asses off! haha. I’ve started with desserts and it hasn’t been as hard as I would have thought, phew! But I’ve only been doing it for a week, so I’m not gonna be all cocky about it yet.
Good for you for choosing to love yourself instead of being stuck in an unhealthy relationship!!!

    • good luck with cutting out sugar! i still think you should replace the need for sugar with eating fruit and hopefully it will help your body just crave fruit more. They say something like how your body craves “nutrients” and we eat food when we are hungry but if it has no nutritional value, our body still craves the nutrients and will practically eat anything until it gets what it needs. So whenever you crave sugar, eat fruit! then your body will slowly only crave fruit when it needs that sugar and you will lose the cravings easier. That is great! isn’t it crazy how all that works?! same with relationships;) you cut the craving, you cut the need for that person! have a great day hun

  2. It’s funny that you mention the Paleo diet. I picked up a book called “Paleo Diet for Athletes” and in it they actually acknowledge that for active people you do need to consume whole grains. But then again when you take a step back it basically ends up being clean eating–just an interesting factoid there.

I love how you haven’t let a bad relationship drag you down and that you use it as a moment of personal growth. You are the one in charge of your own happiness!

I love following your progress, it keeps me motivated to keep up with my training even though sometimes I feel my legs are so dead they’re on the verge of falling off.

  3. You are definitely an inspiration, Tiare! I’m glad that you were able to get out of that bad relationship, because look at you now! You look amazing and I’m sure you feel that way, too! :)
I’m sure you’ll find a man who deserves everything you have to offer. Especially with your new, extremely hot bod! ;)

    • Thank you so much hun! Yes I’m glad I’m out of it too because it seriously just strains me completely. Now I can truly focus on bettering myself!

  4. Clean eating is the way to go. I am however a sometimy clean eater. You look great and what you are doing is awesome. I want to be like you when I grow up. :)

  5. Very happy to hear that you were able to find happiness and cleanse your body and soul. Happiness is truly a journey and so long as you listen to what your body is telling you, you’ll always be happy.

    • This makes me happy reading this:)

  6. That chick is hot…whoever she is.

  7. Hi Tiare, haven’t had a lot of time to follow other bloggers for a while so I might have missed something… but are you a Zumba instructor? I’m contemplating getting my certificate :) I love Zumba! But I may want to get my diploma in fitness training as well… + I’m studying sports nutrition at the moment ;) So maybe I have to take it one course at a time ;) Lol. I’m finally getting back into fitness, as you have read on my blog, and I’m loving it. Can’t wait to be back in shape again! I love the picture you have as your header!!

  8. Love your work, health and happiness through diet and exercise should be a priority for all…!

    • THANK YOU!!! and yes it should be a priority for everyone!!! :)

  9. Your photoshoot pictures look great! I’m glad I came across your blog, I really like reading your posts.

I’m trying really hard to eat clean all the time as well. It’s amazing how much better I feel every day and how many less cravings I have. I can look at chips in the pantry and not even want one!

I also had one of those lie filled relationships. Having it end was the best thing to ever happen to me! I’m glad you realized that as well and have moved on to a much better place in your life.
