For some odd reason, my body likes to wake up at 3 or 4am and not go back to sleep…it’s getting irritating but here I am, blogging away in the middle of the night.

It’s almost time for Halloween!!!! Make sure you make proper eating choices and get your workouts in!
Today is the 19th and that means just a couple more days of the 21-day challenge. I am happy to say that I have dealt with Paleo for the last 19 days with flying colors. I love it, I haven’t felt this good in a really long time. I have learned a lot about nutrition over the last 19 days and what your body truly needs to operate…it’s not as much as I used to think.

this is a Paleo meal my dad made the other night, pecan/dijon crusted mahi mahi with spaghetti squash, delish!
Your body doesn’t need cheese and milk like I thought it did.
Your body doesn’t need added salt or sugar in your meals.
When you stop eating salt, our taste buds begin to work again. They can taste the natural salt in foods; they taste the natural sugar in fruit.
You begin to crave vegetables and fruit more.
Your body only craves what it consumes…so consume the right food, and your body will thank you for it.
My complexion looks even clearer than it used to, and my stress level has been very low. Everything I have done to change my life in small ways has improved. This is only 19 days; imagine if you kept going with healthy change. My days are filled with a Paleo diet, vitamins like B-complex and fish oil have been added, a various amount of Zumba, yoga, pilates, barre method, and cycling have been added. I drink Shakeology smoothies once a day (which is a cheat from Paleo but I don’t care). The bottom line is I’ve made an effort. I made small changes that improved my life. As I said, it takes 21 days to develop a habit so all you need to commit to is 21 days. Once you get trough that, you can see how you feel…and by that point you may not want to ever stop. This goes for anything from nutrition to exercise to even making an effort at meditation or improving your personality like being a better person.

the price of too many barre classes in a row:(
Another exciting thing was getting my challenge pack in the mail!!! I bought Shakeology in Chocolate Vegan flavor and its delicious. I suggest you all buy some also! Just click on that link to get your Shakeology fix like I am. I’ve been making amazing smoothies with it, and crave it daily. I also bought Turbofire, which I’m excited to try once my knee heals. If any of you want to try a program and become part of a challenge group with me, click here, I stopped the 30 days of Barre challenge because I feel like that much repetitive exercise has been putting a huge strain on my knees and I don’t want to injure myself even more. I have been icing my knees everyday and switching up my routine like doing pilates and cycle in replace of my usual barre class. It seems to be helping.

Great job, you’re crushing it! Sounds as if you’re feeling just as amazing inside as you look outside! Be proud

You’re doing a fantastic job and the results are really showing! Thank you for getting the word out that your body doesn’t necessarily need to gain calcium from milk. Most opponents to the paleo diet claim that you’ll be dangerously low on calcium which isn’t at all true. Crush the myth!!!

Thanks for the motivation! I just need to remember that “21 days” thing, because I’m always really bad about snacking too muc stuff at night, and that’s something that’s really added up over time! I need to work on getting to bed earlier, fueling more throughout the day, and getting rid of snacky foods that can hinder my healthy eating efforts!
Love you, Tiare! I haven’t read your blog and commented in a while because of school, but I’m glad to see all the progress you’re making and I’m super happy for you! Keep it up and keep rocking that hot bod!
