Today marks the 21st day of my challenge! 21 days of fitness, 21 days of Paleo! It feels good and it went by fast. Last night was probably my biggest cheat day out of the whole month! I would typically be very disappointed in myself but I’m not because I got to celebrate my best friends Bachelorette Party!!! Woohooooo! I fell off the healthy wagon last night. Here are a couple lovely pics from our evening:

our crazy evening…

The little Bachelorette!
Nikki has a 2 year old AND a 5-month-old….and she’s skinnier than ever. That woman is an alien for being so perfect after giving birth! Haha we had so much fun and now its back to my lovely healthy routine. Thought I would check in since it is day 21 and all.
So where do we go now that the challenge is over? Well we maintain, maintain, maintain! Continue eating healthy, but maybe give yourself a day off tomorrow. Let go, relax, meditate, read a book, plan your next goal. Sometimes after a long challenge or after trying my 30-barre classes in 30 days, I reach a workout plateau.
Where do I go from here?
Why am I not seeing results?
Why don’t I go eat some pizza, this is boring….

Here are 5 Tips to Break Away from Your Workout Plateau:
+Don’t weight yourself. Even if you cant see the numbers drop on the scale, your body is working hard and getting fit and lean and that fat may be turning to muscle, which is heavier than fat. Only judge your weightloss on how your clothes are fitting.
+Eat right. You will never see results if you keep cheating. Keep your diet clean and don’t give in to indulgences that may make you happy for the moment…but it will only cause you more pain later.
+Stop drinking. Okay you don’t have to stop, but drinking adds on extra calories that you may not be able to keep track of after a fun evening. (like bachelorette parties and such;)) Limit your alcohol to 2 or less drinks, once a week or twice at the most.
+Be patient. You may not lose 100 pounds tomorrow but don’t be discouraged if you’re not seeing quick results. Every small action will bring success in the future.
+Sweat more. Pump up your workouts. Make yourself sweat like crazy and get a good playlist on that iPod. Music can make a simple workout feel like so much more with the right tunes.
+Reward yourself with new workout clothes. Sometimes people avoid the gym because they are embarrassed or don’t feel like being around others. Make sure that when you reach new goals, to reward yourself. If I get down to 110 pounds by new years, I’m rewarding myself with a new lululemon wardrobe. <3<3<3
****Don’t be too hard on yourself.

Being able to forgive yourself when you have a night out here and there is important.

I totally agree with every one of those points, especially the not weighing yourself. I got rid of my scale and a lot of the pressure of being healthy went away too. Now my belt is too big!
Also, I would LOVE a lulu lemon wardrobe.

i know!!! weighting yourself is sometimes so discouraging. you think you’re working hard (and you are) but you step on that scale and it makes you feel way worse thinking all that work is fr nothing when its just muscle:)
