Hi all!
It’s day 6 or the new year and where are you with your resolutions? Everyone tries hard to change for the new year and usually by the end of the month, they will forget and completely abandon their goals.
The key is balance.
Balance is the only thing that will help you sustain progress for the long haul. I don’t believe in starting the new year dowsed in a lifestyle that’s far from what you are comfortable with, I believe in small daily steps that will create an adaptation in the right direction.
So where am I? Well I am doing a yoga challenge, 30 classes in 30 days at my studio I attend, as well as the Baron Baptiste 40 digital days challenge which is 40 days of yoga. I’ve gone to 4 classes this year so far but I might do a double today or tomorrow.
Other than yoga, a new challenge is “juicing” one meal a day. I watched one of my favorite documentaries, “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” last night and helps remind me how important it is to make green smoothies.
So for this smoothie:
- 1 apple
- 1 peeled lemon
- 3 stalks celery
- Handful of spinach
- Handful of kale
- 1 celery stick
Then I blend it with just water and well there you are, day 1 complete:) where are you with your goals? Anyone want to join?

I’m still experimenting with different types of smoothies. That looks great and super healthy.

I love juicing! Thanks for a great green recipe! My favorite juice I made this summer was watermelon, cucumber, mint, pinch of salt. It is extremely hydrating and full of electrolytes. You should check out the Crazy Sexy Diet. It is all about juicing. The author Kris Carr also has a documentary.

I’ve gotten back on the juicing train too. It seems everyone is! I like them as meals or snacks inbetween. Just that extra pop of vitamin goodness!
