“Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.” — Mary Anne Radmacher
Oh how I love that quote…it’s perfect and covers so much about life that can be wrapped up in one little quote. I love that it starts by living with intention.
I labeled this post “Courage & Confidence”…why you ask? Because those two words are the words I use everyday as a sort of daily mantra. They are the two things that I seek over everything. I find myself meditating or in savasana repeating the words over and over again. I find myself saying these two little words when I am scared or worried about the future….(future tripping is a struggle I face now and then) but when I say those two words, I can truly face my fears and know that I am trying.
It’s easy to go to yoga everyday and go through the motions…it’s easy to just not try at all. Some people make different excuses why they can’t do things and I am just using yoga as an example. We see a challenge and we stay in our comfort zone, or we push through it! I say just push through it…you only have one life and the struggles we face build us as an even stronger person. I see my yoga like I see life…when I am injured I have to rest, when I see something I don’t think I can do…I try it with a heap of confidence and then I get the posture…and realize that the only things separating me from my being here and my goal is FEAR.
When we grasp the courage and confidence in life situations, we break fear. If we break fear, we can do anything. I’m teaching a mock trial yoga class on Thursday….I’m writing this post because I’m trying to calm my nerves and know that I must stop negative self-talk that I am no good enough to be a yoga instructor. Wish me luck:)
